DESCRIPTION:On this day\, June 20th\, I’ll be celebrating another trip around the sun–my New Year (birthday). Shout out to all the dope Geminis that grace the planet. As I’ve done for the past few years\, I’m sharing that creation energy that birthdays tend to bring with my supporters as my gift to them. Usually\, it’s an energy exchange in the form of a “performance” or “show” for an audience at a venue–public or private. However\, this time is a little bit different. Two years ago around this time\, a crew of musical assassins–Chris “CG” Gadson\, Jon Keyz\, Charles Hunter\, Jimmy Blazer\, Stephen Greer\, and my King\, Sha Alheem–aided me in producing and recording a project I’m extremely proud of. In a private location with an audience of less than 20\, we made magic. To celebrate the anniversary of my birth\, we’ll be releasing the lead single from that project on all major digital platforms\, and I’m uber excited!! Click here to see the lyric video on YouTube on JUNE 20TH! \nOver the last couple of years\, I hesitated to release the EP/album (I haven’t decided what to call it yet\, lol) because I feared the masses may not appreciate it as much as my local supporters. Now\, I’ve stopped worrying if it’s perfect enough\, if it’ll be accepted\, if people will receive it in the same spirit that I created it. My job was to simply create it\, to bring it to fruition\, to stop allowing fear to rob me of my opportunities and my voice. I’m honored to have found my tribe\, my crew in ATX willing to to blend their magic with mine to make this happen. DESCRIPTION:Neshama will be portraying God in King Productions’ stage adaptation of “The Preacher’s Wife”. \nThis production runs over two weekends (December 13-15 & 20-22)\, Friday through Sunday with evening shows at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday\, and a matinee show Sundays at 2:30pm. Tickets can be purchased here. Groups of 6 or more can receive a discounted group rate by calling 512-710-6047 for tickets. \nWritten & Directed By: Robert King\, Jr. \nSynopsis:\nRobert King\, Jr.’s NEW stage play adaptation is loosely based on the book\, The Bishop’s Wife by Robert Nathan. Nathan’s work sparked several film adaptations and remakes\, with the most recent (and well-known) being the 90’s film version that stars the late\, great Whitney Houston\, Courtney B. Vance\, and Denzel Washington. King’s version incorporates some elements from the film but with a modern day twist. \nIn this stage adaptation\, Dudley has been waiting to earn his wings. After God shows him flashbacks from Julia and Henry’s life\, it is decided that he now has enough information to equip him for the task. Dudley poses as the answer to Henry’s prayer requests\, but gets distracted by Henry’s wife\, Julia. The play is uplifting and shines a light on preacher’s wives with empathy. \n**Your GPS destination is the “Dance by Carly” Dance Studio. The Mosaic Theatre is located inside the Dance by Carly studio. The Mosaic Theatre currently does not have signage outside of this building.

Tickets can be purchased here. \nWritten By: Robert King Jr.\nDirected By: Joshua Sanchez \nSynopsis:\nOn January 13\, 1979\, the world lost Donny Hathaway\, one of its greatest musicians and singers. In Robert King\, Jr.’s new thought-provoking musical\, he introduces us to a side of Donny Hathaway we’ve never seen before–his battle with the voices that haunted and tormented him as he dealt with mental illness (Paranoid Schizophrenia). The musical suggests that the night prior to Donny committing suicide at The Essex House Hotel\, New York\, he had a conversation at the bar with a fictional character by the name of Pamela Robinson. Pamela asks Donny what songs he would perform if he knew that he had one last time to perform.
